Its official website writes: "Most people first heard of Perrlos, Carcar in 1992. Between the months of September and February of 1993, it was reported by media that many people claimed to have seen the sun moved (sic) around (or “danced” (sic) as they called it) at sunrise. This phenomenon which lasted about 15 minutes was witnessed by many people who came to the hills of Perrelos to attend the dawn Mass every 13th of the month. The Mass is the culmination of a night-long vigil with confessions that brought together Marian devotees and dawn rosary participants from far and near.

Believers, non-believers and skeptics continue to visit Perrelos to this day. The last reported sighting of the sun
phenomenon was in February of 1993.

Over the years, the pilgrims continued to come in droves and in trickles. They visit not solely because they have heard of the ‘dancing sun’ that supposedly happened years ago but it is the story of many conversions that seem to bring people to the place."

    Is this Carcar in Cebu? I'd love to explore the place one day because it's the place of my paternal grandfather. :) Lovely info!

    I have heard about the "dancing" sun but I didn't know where it was seen. So it's in Cebu pala. :-)

School and a Mixed Bag of Emotions

Even with the (remaining) 9 year old son at home, doing his usual stuff alternately watching tv, tinkering with his Legos, cutting/ folding/ creating things with paper and playing with the iPad, and making a ruckus all by his lonesome, the house is, weirdly, quiet. I often find myself introspecting... about the nest almost empty now and other similar thoughts. And I struggle to stop myself from wallowing in a mixed bag of emotions. It's not a bad thing, except, I could waste hours doing that. I thought I was totally in control and could dismiss the situation as another milestone, like seeing your child lose his first baby tooth. Nothing a warm hug or an ice cream could not fix. by Linnor When the boys are home, their room doesn't stay as orderly as the pic above.  Mistulang binagyo kapag silang lahat ay nasa loob ng kanilang asul na kwarto. :) Merong nag-gigitara, merong nagko-kompyuter at merong naglalaro ng Lego.  Sa madaling sabi, pag nasa silid sila, talagang di maiiwasan ang pagiging makalat nito.  :P Anyway, at least nasa bahay lang sila at hindi nagbabarkada sa labas. Pero sa totoo lang, after a long day at work or from school, it's always nice to come home to a clean house.  Ang sarap magpahinga sa maayos na kabahayan pagkatapos ng mahabang araw  di ba?
