062619 Balancing act. Here is a photo of our youngest son, Jake, back in December of 2005 when he was a year and a half old. The little tike was having a fit. I wouldn’t let him in my office, because I was on a quick concall. Poor thing. I picked him up shortly, sat him on my lap and allowed him to scribble on some papers. Tough times juggling mommyhood and employment then. Son and I just laugh at this memory now. ♥️ https://ift.tt/2xfTBI8 via Tumblr https://ift.tt/2XyMc5t

062519 The condo that gumballs bought. We were both employed full time. Husband was helping out in their family business while I was a newly-hired finance manager. Our combined pay was just enough for a family of 4 (sons were aged 4 and 1 then, 3rd son wasn’t born yet).  To stretch our resources, we stayed with my mother-in-law who was so generous and accommodating. However, we knew this was a temporary arrangement. Sooner or later we had to find our own place. So to augment our income, we ran our little gumball business. This venture turned into our cash machine and provided us the extra funds. In 1997, five years into our marriage, after careful calculations and with the small biz we had going, we took a leap of faith. We decided to buy our first property, a 79sqm 2-br condo in Guadalupe. We moved in by 1999, after 7 years of rent-free stay with my MIL. God bless her soul. This photo was taken in 2005 with my parents. The sons were already 12, 9 and 1. http://bit.ly/2FqiR

062219 I couldn’t remember the last time I’ve visited Tambuli Beach. It used to be one of the well-known resorts in Mactan in the 80-90s before Shangrila was put up. Under new ownership, it has been redeveloped in recent years and renamed Tambuli Seaside Living. When completed, the 11-hectare tropical paradise, will have residential condos, a clubhouse, a coffeeshop, restaurants, function rooms and a hotel. The one thing that sets this resort community apart from the rest is the abundance of century-old trees around the property. Even the structures were built around trees in an effort not to uproot them. Construction is still ongoing, but from what I’ve seen, so far, this whole project is impressive. Given the chance to invest in a property in Cebu, Tambuli Seaside is a really good option for a residence, a retirement home or a condotel. http://bit.ly/2Iy8gos via Tumblr http://bit.ly/31KZBXk

061319 Summer is not yet over, or is it? Regardless of what season we’re in, I’m glad we’re only a short drive away from here for our dose of fresh air, sun, sea and negative ions. ♥️☀️🌊 http://bit.ly/2IKvPZY via Tumblr http://bit.ly/2Kf3sq5
