Awake Before Daybreak

My alarm goes off at 445am and every 15min after that until 6am, every school day.  In between, hubby, son and I rush through shower, breakfast and clean-up.  Then off to school we go trying to beat the rush hour traffic.  I'm sure this schedule is the same for most families with school age kids. :)  

So now I'm early for yoga class.

    That often happens to us. Daddy will snooze the alarm only to find out it was shut off. Thank God our helper will knock on our door if Daddy when down yet.

      hehe... i make it a point not to press the snooze button. otherwise, major stress if ma-late. lol

    wow, 4:45am? i am still asleep at that time. haha! the earliest i can be up is at 5:30am with the latest being 6:30am. good thing my office is just a 5-min jeepney ride away.:)

School and a Mixed Bag of Emotions

"You can’t imagine your life with kids, until you have them, then you can’t imagine your life without them." ~Author Unknown It's been a week since two of our three sons flew to Manila to attend their classes. Even with the (remaining) 9 year old son at home, doing his usual stuff alternately watching tv, tinkering with his Legos, cutting/ folding/ creating things with paper and playing with the iPad, and making a ruckus all by his lonesome, the house is, weirdly, quiet. I often find myself introspecting... about the nest almost empty now and other similar thoughts. And I struggle to stop myself from wallowing in a mixed bag of emotions. It's not a bad thing, except, I could waste hours doing that. I thought I was totally in control and could dismiss the situation as another milestone, like seeing your child lose his first baby tooth. Nothing a warm hug or an ice cream could not fix. by Linnor When the boys are home, their room doesn't stay as orderly as the pic above.  Mistulang binagyo kapag silang lahat ay nasa loob ng kanilang asul na kwarto. :) Merong nag-gigitara, merong nagko-kompyuter at merong naglalaro ng Lego.  Sa madaling sabi, pag nasa silid sila, talagang di maiiwasan ang pagiging makalat nito.  :P Anyway, at least nasa bahay lang sila at hindi nagbabarkada sa labas. Pero sa totoo lang, after a long day at work or from school, it's always nice to come home to a clean house.  Ang sarap magpahinga sa maayos na kabahayan pagkatapos ng mahabang araw  di ba?
