Because This Dress Kept Losing Buttons

I have finally gotten around to replacing all of them. This morning I was choosing between making my blog rounds or sewing the new buttons by hand. I chose the latter. Hehe. Because it's Friday, I wanted the option of wearing this dress other than my usual jeans and shirt combo. And I don't usually wear a dress because of numerous reasons, one of them is when a dress is missing a button or two. Now I've gotten that out of the way... We'll see.

The buttons are kinda off color but that's the closest shade of green I could get my hands on. So... there.

  2. Lol I have that problem too and I soo hate sewing buttons too. You could put clear nail polish on the buttons with the sewn thread so that they won't get loose

    1. i guess the buttons used these days are not durable enough to withstand the washing machine. buti na lang i can sew. i just have to prod myself to get it done right away.

  3. Although the color is off, I don't think its awkward. It still looks good in the picture. Nice idea you have there to get rid of the buttons that kept getting loose. :D

  4. Oh i so hate this. I've done that also changing the buttons to a different one though I had it changed in one of the tailoring shop here in Dubai as I don't know where I can buy buttons. And I guess I will do what Marie had advised, to put clear nail polish on the button. :-)

    1. it's a chore... i guess the buttons become loose when the apparel is machine-washed. so putting clear nail polish could actually stop the threads from unraveling.
