New Role: Landlord

We initially thought of selling the property and had a few prospective buyers who took a look but didn't finalize the transaction. Although we wanted to liquidate it either through sale or lease, we were not in a hurry. We wanted to make sure the buyer or lessee is somebody who is capable of consummating the deal.

After weeks of go-sees and negotiations, the townhouse with 3 bedrooms, 3 t&b, garage that could fit 2 cars and located in the center of the city with access points from Banilad, Apas and Lahug, finally got rented out last month. Thank heavens!

The best part of the deal was, without us demanding for it, the leaseholder paid 1 year in advance with a dated manager's check!

If that is not a good deal, I don't know what is!

School and a Mixed Bag of Emotions

"You can’t imagine your life with kids, until you have them, then you can’t imagine your life without them." ~Author Unknown It's been a week since two of our three sons flew to Manila to attend their classes. Even with the (remaining) 9 year old son at home, doing his usual stuff alternately watching tv, tinkering with his Legos, cutting/ folding/ creating things with paper and playing with the iPad, and making a ruckus all by his lonesome, the house is, weirdly, quiet. I often find myself introspecting... about the nest almost empty now and other similar thoughts. And I struggle to stop myself from wallowing in a mixed bag of emotions. It's not a bad thing, except, I could waste hours doing that. I thought I was totally in control and could dismiss the situation as another milestone, like seeing your child lose his first baby tooth. Nothing a warm hug or an ice cream could not fix. On the contrary, that hug at this time just exacerbates the yearning. It

by Linnor When the boys are home, their room doesn't stay as orderly as the pic above.  Mistulang binagyo kapag silang lahat ay nasa loob ng kanilang asul na kwarto. :) Merong nag-gigitara, merong nagko-kompyuter at merong naglalaro ng Lego.  Sa madaling sabi, pag nasa silid sila, talagang di maiiwasan ang pagiging makalat nito.  :P Anyway, at least nasa bahay lang sila at hindi nagbabarkada sa labas. Pero sa totoo lang, after a long day at work or from school, it's always nice to come home to a clean house.  Ang sarap magpahinga sa maayos na kabahayan pagkatapos ng mahabang araw  di ba?
