2020-04-09 Last Feb, we took this photo around the time we had our personal appearance for our visa application. Our visas have been approved since, but due to Covid19, we have nowhere to go.

We momentarily bemoaned the canceled trip and the amount already spent, but we believe there is a lesson to be learned from all these. God’s will for us always has reason and purpose. Now we are all together in one place riding out the effects of this pandemic.

With joyful hearts we are enjoying increased family prayer time; homecooked meals; movie nights; and simply leading a slower and peaceful pace of life.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5-18

School and a Mixed Bag of Emotions

"You can’t imagine your life with kids, until you have them, then you can’t imagine your life without them." ~Author Unknown It's been a week since two of our three sons flew to Manila to attend their classes. Even with the (remaining) 9 year old son at home, doing his usual stuff alternately watching tv, tinkering with his Legos, cutting/ folding/ creating things with paper and playing with the iPad, and making a ruckus all by his lonesome, the house is, weirdly, quiet. I often find myself introspecting... about the nest almost empty now and other similar thoughts. And I struggle to stop myself from wallowing in a mixed bag of emotions. It's not a bad thing, except, I could waste hours doing that. I thought I was totally in control and could dismiss the situation as another milestone, like seeing your child lose his first baby tooth. Nothing a warm hug or an ice cream could not fix. On the contrary, that hug at this time just exacerbates the yearning. It

by Linnor When the boys are home, their room doesn't stay as orderly as the pic above.  Mistulang binagyo kapag silang lahat ay nasa loob ng kanilang asul na kwarto. :) Merong nag-gigitara, merong nagko-kompyuter at merong naglalaro ng Lego.  Sa madaling sabi, pag nasa silid sila, talagang di maiiwasan ang pagiging makalat nito.  :P Anyway, at least nasa bahay lang sila at hindi nagbabarkada sa labas. Pero sa totoo lang, after a long day at work or from school, it's always nice to come home to a clean house.  Ang sarap magpahinga sa maayos na kabahayan pagkatapos ng mahabang araw  di ba?
