041018 Vacation season has begun in the Ph and though plans are underway, we haven’t been to a real one yet this year. The photo was taken months ago in 2017 on our second road trip to Aloguinsan. This is the point where Bojo River and Tañon Strait meet. Some facts about the Tañon Strait:
1. It's the biggest marine protected area in the Philippines covering 521,018 hectares. It is 5 times larger than the more famous Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park (97,030 hectares).
2. It is located between Cebu Island and Negros Island and connects the Bohol Sea in the south and the Visayan Sea in the north. Though it is very narrow (27 kilometers-wide), its waters are deep reaching 500 meters.
